The point of finding and using your passion in creating your online business is to be inspired and driven by what you do every day — even when it gets difficult.
Remember, in order to provide value, you do not need to be an expert on a subject. To get going, this is a common misconception and deterrent. You have importance, of course, and you just don’t realize how much you know compared to the next person who really could use your help!If you’re still stumped and have nothing to talk about. Consider this: What is your life experience that you can enable others to gain or overcome?
You want to think about your passion and its value in the market when you start an online company. This will take us to your next step, fit for the market.Step 2: Defining the fit and potential of the market
The next step is assessing business fit when you have narrowed in on your passion and skillset.
Simply describe market fit as the group of people who suit your brand.
Think of… Who’d benefit from your knowledge?
Is the size of the market big enough to take advantage of it?
Where can you find this type of person most likely?Take an example.
Say you’re special in your ability to master vegan cooking.
Several people can take advantage of your expertise. To name a few, people who are intolerant of lactose or people who for health or religious reasons avoid eating meat. This is probably a very large market, with a great deal of potential for profit.

Now that we know how to assess the fit and potential of our business we will start to get into the mind of these potential customers and better understand their needs. This brings us to our next step, which is to create an avatar.
Phase 3: Avatar formation
An avatar is a single person who embodies your ideal customer’s representation.
Every good business starts with catering to its client, which is why this move is crucial to the creation of a successful product and marketing strategy.
You have to understand the needs and concerns of your client so you get down to how you can serve him / her better.Which is the perfect client’s age?
Are they men or women?
When it comes to your solution, what are their biggest problems?
Where can you find your ideal user (sites, groups, etc.)?If you’re doing a good job of defining your character, they’ll be as important to you as a real user. You should be able to narrow in on the type of language to which they are most responsive, know what keeps them up at night, what motivates them.
In turn, you can structure your product with the right pain points and solutions that are delivered in a manner that resonates with your potential customer.

Phase 4: Build a Following A following is a group of people who are interested in your content and want to keep up-to-date on the information you are going to share with them.
You want to cultivate a strong relationship with these people because they will look at you as a figure of authority and will seek your advice in turn.
This means that they will trust you later on when you want to give them a recommendation about a product that you are going to offer.The following are your potential buyers in the future.
There are various outlets where the following can be installed. The names of major social media outlets YouTube, Twitter, Linkedin, but also various online forums and blogs will remember them. You can even start building an offline following through your forums, interest groups, and so on.
The best place to get started is where most of your prospective buyers are going to be. This may be in a common Facebook group, maybe it’s Twitter because you’ve got a young audience, or it may be as specific as in your local communities, like a book club for self-help, etc.
Here you can think outside the box. So what are you going to start with? Start by developing a relationship with these people. You may start that Facebook group or Instagram page and start to invite or follow people interested in your content. You might want to start posting cooking videos on YouTube. Perhaps you’re beginning to comment on a forum and build authority among its users.
The aim here is to find out where your prospective buyers are and start a contact channel with them so that you can build relationships. Show them interest and they’ll want you to connect regularly where you can eventually sell them targeted offers. We need to first build a list of prospective buyers before we do that.
Phase 5: Build a Prospective Buyer List
Now that you understand the importance of developing your prospective buyers group, you probably realize you’re going to need a way to organize them in order to be able to produce potential offers.
